How do I turn on the light/flash on a Kodak Playsport Video Camera?

I just bought a Kodak Play Sport Video Camera.

I have read the entire manual as well as the online extended one and it say there is a video recording light which I also see on my camera.

However it does not turn on automatically and I can not figure out how to turn it on?

I have literally figures everything out but this and I'm sure it has a light.

How to download video from Kodak Playsport zx3 to MacBook.?

I have a new MacBook computer and a new Kodak Playsport zx3 video camera. The macbook has imovie '09. When I hook up the video camera, it does not automatically download to the computer. What do I need to do?

you might just have to copy files directly im not to sure how to do that on a mac or you can import them from the camera from imovie, Also if your connect directlyto the camera you may want to take the sd card out and put it in an sd card reader that would probally help

also imovie should support playsport's .mov format, but in case it doesnt you my want to try some things,
1. make sure you have quicktime
2.if it still doesnt work change the file extension (renaming file and changing .mov to like .avi)
3.if all else fails download a file converter (you just google ".mov to (video file type) converter"

im sorry that last part was probally not really neccesary, i just had a lot of problems editing my videos and id hate for something to just give up on it cause playsports are so awesome PS stick to zx3 the zx5 is a peice!

I plan on buying a video camera for youtube, and imovie can only handle 720p at the max. The video camera's resolution is 720x480. So what is the max resoluton? And is it a good resolution for youtube?

ok, computers and television live in different worlds.

for television work, resolution is always specified as the number of scanning lines.

for computers, the resolution is always the "big" number first.

so imovie handles up to 720x1280 video.

the camera is 480x720 video. this is the standard for digital video that was established over 20 years ago for television. any video editor ever made can handle this resolution. The pixel count is somewhat confusing because television pixels are not "square" and 720 horizontal pixels are used for both 4:3 and 16:9 shape.

minimum youtube resolution is 240x320 (MPEG1) so it will be just fine.

Most cameras will be good, but generally the more you spend the better it'll be. I like Sony and Canon. Ask this in the photography section, they'll be more likely to be able to help.
