I was wondering what a good camcorder lens would be for baseball. I dont want a fisheye lens but something that could maybe see the ball better if that even exists.
Answer
It depends on the camcorder and what you mean by "see the ball better"... we also don't know where the camera is relative to the action being recorded.
If the camcorder being use captures high compression video and no optical zoom is being used, there will be issues.
If the camcorder has a specification for "Lens filter diameter" or filter diameter", then a "tele lens" can be mounted. They are generally in a 2x configuration. That is, they can basically double the camcorder's zoom potential.
If you are expecting the video quality of a consumer grade camcorder to rival that of the professional grade camcorders used at a pro or college baseball game, - well, that is just not going to happen unless you use the same kinds of cameras used at those events.
Tip: Use a good, stable, tripod - do not use the camcorder hand-held.

Whats a good camcorder for sports?

Luna
Well I need a good camcorder to record sports and that can take fast movement. I also need it to have an external mic so I can attach a good quality mic (I'm a musician.) And I need to be able to attach a tripod too it. I don't want the video to look grainy. My budget i $100-150. Thanks!!
Sorry I ment external mic input
