I'm really into extreme sport such as rock climbing and snowboarding. I'm looking a camera capturing my achievements of extreme sports. Also what features should i be looking for? Thanks :)
Answer
Definitely go with the GoPro HD Helmet Hero, its an absolutely great camera. I've used it and i loved it. Its basically for capturing videos, if thats what you want than there is no doubt this would be your best bet. It captures professional-grade full HD video up to 1080p, 60 frames per second option in 720p and WVGA resolutions provides liquid smooth slow motion playback, videos can be easily edited with iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, industryâs widest angle (170º) and sharpest lens captures more of the scene and includes easy to apply mounts for attaching camera to virtually all helmets. GoPro Hero vs Extreme Sports video goggles?
28falcon28
I want to get a video camera that i can record me dirt bike riding. I'm not sure which one to get. I found the Extreme Sports googles on this site http://www.hammacher.com/Product/81197?promo=Sports-Leisure&catid=52 , It looks good cause it wont get damaged if a fall. But I do know of the GoPro Hero camcorder as the leading brand, its a little more expensive, I think because of all the attachments. You can look at it here http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-motorsports-hero-camera/ . Which one do you think i should get?
Answer
I would go with the gopro camera just because I am extremely picky when it comes to goggles and can't stand anything other than Scott 87OTG goggles. I also couldn't see riding with a camera right between my eyes, that's got to interfere with depth perception.
If it were me I would get the gopro but if you think having a camera stuck right between your eyes won't bother you go with the goggle camera.
It's a hard one to answer but other than damage protection I really can't find a real reason to have a camera mounted in your goggles.
