Those little home printers for digital cameras are they compatible with any digital camera and would it work with a combo vhs camcorder/digital camera?

Answer
Home 4x6 printers have card slots for the popular types of memory, CF, SD, xd, sonystick, maybe smart media too. So if your camcorder uses a removable memory card, then yes, it is compatible.
Of course, depending on your still pic resolution, you may be disappointed in your prints. I have an Epson Picturemate that I like a lot.

Is there a decent digital video/still camera combo?

I would like a digital camera and digital video camera that I could have combined so I dont have to carry around 2 things. Anyone know of anything like this?

Answer
Nearly all camcorders available now will have the ability to take digital still JPEG images. The tricky part is determining quality. If you just want to share your images online (Facebook, Photobucket, etc.) then any camcorder should be fine.

Most camcorders do not have the same features for taking stills that a traditional digital still camera will have. The majority of MiniDV camcorders I've seen take 1 Megapixel stills as opposed to the 8 to 10 Megapixel stills of common digital cameras. Even the newer High Definition camcorders take stills commonly around the 3 Megapixel range.

You get more if you pay more, which normally doesn't matter to the common camera user. If you're doing professional work with your still photos you would probably want to stick with a separate digital camera and camcorder.

If you are just taking photos to share with some friends it makes perfect sense to get a camcorder which can take good video but also take the stills you want to share. In this case, most any camcorder should suit your need.

Good luck!
