Helmet camera for skiing?

Matt

So I ski a lot and I wanted a helmet cam to film some of my skiing. I am looking for one that has to attach to my helmet, has good video quality, and is relatively cheap. The video quality has to be good enough to easily identify moguls, jumps, etc. I'm am going to Utah in about 2 weeks so I want to film the awesomeness. Also, I wouldn't mind paying somewhere from $50-$100 but anything below that is good. THANKS

Answer
If you want full HD quality (1080p) then i'm quite sure you need to use a little bit more money than that.

I have both the Contour HD and the GoPro HD. These two cameras are the most selling HD helm cameras at the moment. I have been using both when skiing and doing other sports, and i've come to the conclusion that i like the GoPro best. It got better mounts, and i like the video quality better.

You can see a comparison of the two cameras here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAQ10RamNOg

What Canon DSLR camera should I buy?

Jack Mcrob

I cannot decide between two Canon full frame cameras the 6D and 5D Mark ii. I use my current camera for sports such as football, travel, night time space photography, and video. I have found that it is bad in low light and slow in sports photography. I would like to upgrade to a better performing camera in low light and sports photography. I do not know which one these is better. I have also heard news of the Canon 7D Mark ii and I was wondering if that would be worth waiting for. My final question is where the best place to buy this camera from. I saw on Best Price Photo it is selling for $1,400 vs B and H photo for $1,999. Why is this?

Answer
Do not, repeat do not send your money or credit card information to Best Price. Read the reviews here about their shady practices.

As for the two Canons you names, I can't help you, since I'm a Nikon shooter. But here's a side-by-side comparison of the these cameras for you.

And a couple of very detailed reviews.

By the way, be aware that none of your EF-S lenses would be mountable on these full-frame cameras.
