My mom asked me to find a camcorder that is easy to use, can be used with a tripod, and, uses DVDs. Not looking for something expensive.

i am sure your mom is not aware that miniDVD camcorders only record for 20 minutes. no camcorder uses regular size DVDs. if you need to archive the sessions, then get a DVD home recorder to record from the camcorders AV output.

What's the best digital camera with good sound quality?

I search for the best compact digital camera for taking the videos on gigs and festivals preferably aspect ratio 16:9. All cams have poor sound quality when it comes to the electronic music and beats.
I don't really want a big camcorder, something easy to carry around with good BASS SOUND RECORDING. Price doesn't matter, in fact nothing matters except good sound quality.
