I just graduated 8th grade and did really good, so my parents are letting me get a graduation present. I was wondering if i should get a pair of ray bans sunglasses, since i really like the legends collection, a new video camcorder, because i love making videos, or if i should get a prepaid cellphone, where you pay monthly for minutes. What should i get??

Answer
I'd go with the cellphone. It'd be the most useful for you

How can i get ready for my cruise?

Natalie

Im goin on a seven day cruise to in europe soon and i just want your opinion on what i should bring. ts a 6 hour flight(im leaving from new york) i'll be in spain for a day then the cruise.
detailed list please?

Answer
As I have never travelled to Europe or Spain all I can tell you is to check the weather forecast (www.wunderground.com) for the days you will be there. Then pack accordingly. If it is their cold season, pack warm clothes. If it is their warm season, pack light clothes. Depending on the itinerary and what you will be doing, pack accordingly. You plan on doing any hiking? Bring a good, sturdy pair of hiking boots or good heavy walking shoes. Make sure they are comfy.

Plan on paying with cash? Don't forget to get currency converter before you enter the countries you will be visiting. You'll get a better rate here than you will there.

As for what to take? Common sense. Formal nights? Dress for it. Casual? Jeans or khaki's will do nicely.

Don't forget the lip balm, sunglasses and hat to keep the rays off your face and out of your eyes. Lip balm will help keep your lips from getting chapped, any weather.

As for other things: basic toiletries as you may not be able to find what you need or want abroad, iPod, etc with charger, camera (with extra batteries and memory cards), camcorder (same thing). Your favorite author may have a new book out now, so don't forget to check that too.

If you want to send post cards, make sure you have stamps available or can find where to get them. If you are not fluent in any local languages (Spanish), take a small translator or a book translator to help you with please, thank you, taxi, etc.

Also, be advised that right now there is a volcano spewing ash skyward that is disrupting many flights in Europe. Not sure when you are going, but you might want to keep that in mind as well and leave a day early if you need to.

For more information, go to www.cruisecritic.com and register (it's free) and check out Roll Call (for your ship and cruise line) and the Review section where you can read reviews from others who have taken the ship and the itineraries that you will be using. You will find them very helpful.

Good luck and have a great time!
