I have about 600 dollars to spend on a new camera. im interested in getting the highest resolution and video quality that I can for that amount. I would prefer to have a warranty on it just in case.

What is a good camcorder to be filming short action films with?

I'm starting to love to make short action films, but the camera right now I have has very bad quality and it's just... not good for any kind of short films at all. Please recommend a good quality HD camera for me? I can only go into the budget of up to 500-600 dollars.
Also in my short films I tend to not use a tripod in shots for more dramatic shaky effect and the camera I have right now freaks out a little bit too much without a tripod.
