I have felt so saddened for all the Japanese families that were affected by the earthquake, the aftermath and the devastating toll in terms of loss of life, destruction, and uncertainty. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

I know Autumn, all those bewildered citizens, watching from scarcely safe vantage points, some with their camcorders running, and several meters away is this raging torrent racing through their township, uplifting houses as if they were corks in a bathtub, & the cars & boats bobbing around them.
What we experienced here in NZ, in the city of Christchurch, just doesn't compare to this.
