The only camcorders you can get for 150 is a digital camcorder w/ a memory card.($70-$120+) Not a tape camcorder. Tigerdirect.com and Pricegrabber, Pricerunner all have camcorder prices to compare. The best for the money are Mini Dv camcorders, and they rarely go for under 250. I've been looking at the DXG 305V digital camcorder, but it might be a dead-end.

Use a cheaper camcorder to learn with. MiniDVs are the best. Stay away from SVHS, DVD, and Digital8. If you're buying your first camcorder, but you don't have much money then buy the Canon ZR500:
