What is the best hd camcorder to record live music in a club setting?

Hello all...I'm interested in buying a camcorder...specifically to make music videos. Live local rock bands, perhaps acoustic guitar You Tube videos..etc. I'd like the ability to shoot images, and add a soundtrack later while keeping the existing video. Is this possible? ( Or should I just count on using software, like Windows Movie Maker?)

Also, a camcorder with the ability to record from TV, and an output for an external microphone, and at least one small built in decent condenser mic.

Good sound quality is my major concern, but of course, I want decent images.

Any suggestions? I'm looking at the under 1 grand price range.

Maybe one of these from consumer reports has what you need.

Keep in mind that using the same model number but paying a little more for the upper of the models usually works just great. So like instead of the PV-GS80, I got the PV-GS85 because it had a few more specs on it. Mine cost $277 at circuitcity.
