best camcorder mac users image

I have a Panasonic PV-GS320 camcorder and a Mac computer. When I connect the camcorder to the computer with the cord, nothing happens. I tried turning it on, but it's dead without the battery and the plug is behind the battery, so the battery has to come out in order for me to plug the cord into the camera. And no, I can't just read the instructions because my idiot brother decided to use it as a fire starter -_-

What is the best and most user-friendly software for capturing video onto my computer?
smarie
I have a camcorder and a digital video camera and would like to capture, edit and burn onto a DVD disk on my desktop computer.
Should I use Windows Movie Maker, Nero, Roxio or something else?
Answer
Obviously the most user friendly is iMovie and iDVD for the Mac.
For the PC, Windows Movie Maker and Windows DVD Maker. Mostly, because it is free with compatible operating systems.
If you looking to spend some money on software and you have the system requirement to run it then Adobe Premier Elements.
