video camera for motorsport image

I mean, why are some $200 and some are $20 for a 32GB?
I'm wanting to get the D600 and since my current camera is very old(about 10 years, the D50) it only takes SD cards up to 4gb. So I've never really thought about this before...
I see some 32gb memory cards are so expensive, like $50 or more each. But then there's these... http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=SNSF32UYTQMN&ref=PLA&omid=103&CAWELAID=1845406034&catargetid=1889111775&cadevice=c&&cagpspn=pla
which are only $20 each. Does it matter which ones I were to use? Why is there such a price difference?
Answer
Things like capacity, durability, read/write speeds, and warranty, all are considerations in memory card price. Image quality is not.
If you shoot video, the simple answer is to buy the fastest card available. If you are going to use a lot of continuous mode shooting, you will increase your burst capacity with a faster card.
With a large image file size, such as created by the D600, write speed can be a factor. If you shoot RAW with file sizes around 24-25MB, what's going to happen if the card write speed is 10MB/sec? Your camera does have a buffer to store images as they are being transferred to the card, but it's not infinite. You can quickly fill the buffer and then the camera simply stops taking pictures while you wait for the card. With typical frame-by-frame shooting, this will not be a problem.
Some cards are more durable than others. I just saw the specs on a Sandisk SD card:
Durability
Depth rating: 3.3' (1.0 m) for up to 72 hr in salt or fresh water
Shockproof up to 500 Gs
X-ray proof
Are you kidding me? This could survive a hurricane!
When I got the D600, B&H had bundled it with a 32GB Sandisk Extreme SDHC, so at least you know it will be adequate. Since I shoot a lot of motorsports and occasionally use maximum burst rates, I added an Extreme Pro card with its 90MB/s write speed.
If you are concerned about cost, go for a 16GB Sandisk Extreme Class-10 card. Choose between 60 or 45MB/s maximum write speed. They cost $30 and $20. If you need to save $5 on a no-name memory card, you've got no business buying a $2,000 camera.
One word of caution. Memory cards are the most counterfeited piece of camera equipment out there, so don't try to save three bucks buying one from a nobody on eBay. (And I shop eBay for a lot of stuff.) Buy from a well-established, reputable dealer, such as B&H, Adorama, and so on.

Project Natal:
First off, Natal is still just a code name for Microsoft's new technology. Expect it to get an official name by E3 2010.Prior to Natal, cameras have been relatively dumb. They can capture images, but they largely don't know what they're seeing. Microsoft has taught Natal's brain how to interpret the data its 3D video camera and near-infrared beam receive. After presenting the system with multiple terabytes of data on motion-captured human movement, Microsoft engineers were able to teach Natal how to recognize, remember and interpret the motions of the human body. Yeah, it's a little more advanced than the Wii mote.

HDMI: Both of consoles have HDMI so is the same.
Graphics:
The xbox 360 has a GPU which can produces Anti-aliasing without frame-rate costs but the most of the developers don't know how to use the full power of the CPU and GPU from PS3.
THE NEW XBOX EXPERIENCE:
It is really cool, but pretty much everything will cost you :( , even to connect to xbox live it's cost.
Features!
Ring of Light and Xbox Guide Button â The ring of light is the power button and it is divided into four quadrants that can display a number of different colors depending on what is going on. Weâre not entirely sure what all the ring of light can do at this point, however. The Xbox Guide button is prominently featured on the controller as well as the Xbox 360 remote and allows you to instantly access information on person who just challenged you on Xbox Live or you can jump right to where you can find downloadable content for a game you are currently playing. The Xbox Guide button will also allow you to turn the Xbox 360 system on and off from the comfort of your couch â Now that is a great idea that is long overdue.
Xbox Live â There will be two types of Xbox Live for the Xbox 360. The Silver version is free and it allows you to access the Xbox Live Marketplace as well as communicate with your friends using voice chat. You cannot, however, play games online. With the Gold version of Xbox Live, you get all of the possible features and, most importantly, you can play games online. Your achievements and statistics will be archived so you can check them whenever you want and you will also be able to use video chat and video messaging. Microsoft has announced that all new Xbox 360 owners will get Gold Service for the first month and then after that the pricing will be similar to Xbox Live on the current Xbox.
Xbox Live Marketplace â The marketplace is an area where you will be able to download game demos and trailers as well as new content for games such as new levels, characters, vehicles, weapons, and much more. Some things will be free but you will have to pay for some premium content.
Digital Entertainment â The Xbox 360 will once again allow you to rip your music to the hard drive to use during games, but it will also stream music off of any MP3 player that you plug into the USB 2.0 ports (which includes the Sony PSP â¦). You can also upload your photos to the hard drive and share them with your friends on Xbox Live. The Xbox 360 will also play DVD movies, but unlike the original Xbox, the Xbox 360 can display them in progressive scan. At this point, it also seems like DVD playback will be available out of the box and will not require the purchase of an extra remote or anything like that which is definitely an improvement.
Personalize your console â With the interchangeable faces of the system itself, you can change the color of your system however and whenever you want by simply snapping on a new face. Realistically, you wonât even actually have to buy new faces because you could simply paint the stock face yourself but it is guaranteed that Microsoft will roll out a line of limited edition and collectible faces to lure people in. You will also be able to customize the look and feel of the Xbox Guide browser on the system which we suspect will be similar to changing themes in Windows on your PC. Customization is always a good thing and while these features donât really mean anything in the long run, they are certainly nice to have.
